Jeff, I am still struggling to process that you are no longer with us. I have written and rewritten this so many times now because it’s inexpressible. You have been a role model in my life, your help, advice and humour have without doubt helped to shape who I am today. It was reassuring to know that you were someone who I could depend on if I needed anything and for that I was privileged. You were a source of happiness, always laughing, joking and teasing anyone who would bite. You had a way of cheering us up even when we were down. I smile when I think about our Pickett - White Friday nights, when you and Dad would plot and devise wacky games, stories and entertainment in order to keep us ‘kids’ entertained – over the years, that never stopped. When we were together there was always a silly story of some kind, if we were not making them then we were reminiscing about them. The list is endless and for that, I am truly thankful! With the many priceless memories we have, you will never be far from our thoughts. You will live on in our hearts as well as within Diane, your boys and every other person whose life you touched. You really were one of a kind! To me family doesn’t mean blood, it means people who are there, people you can depend on and the people you want around and that was you! I will miss and love you always. Charlene x
